Why Work at Nurai?

We recognize that the best candidates often have many options open to them. Turning away from established names to join new companies like Nurai can be daunting, but incredibly rewarding. So we see it as our responsibility to support you in making what might feel like a leap of faith.

Safe hands, open minds, new methods

We have a strong track record with some of the biggest names in international development. We’ve managed millions of dollars’ worth of research and programming contracts, lived and worked in the world’s most difficult places, taught at the best universities, and published with leading think tanks.

But we’re not dinosaurs. We’re innovating all the time, developing proprietary methodological and quality assurance processes tailor-made for complex environments and sensitive topics. Technology is pivotal in this but we don’t integrate new technology just because it exists. We only do so if it is fit for purpose.

Clear expectations, loose rules

You won’t be confronted by a 100-page manual when you join. Instead, you’ll have conversations with colleagues and introductions to our systems. We’ll make our expectations clear and discuss how they fit with yours. As a rule of thumb, and as long as you follow the law and our code of conduct, you’re encouraged to operate in the way that makes you most effective.

Fast progress and genuine flexibility

We review performance and pay every six months, to make sure that we’re rewarding everyone fairly and acting on poor performance quickly. We know that people progress at different speeds with different motivations. For some, fast-track to directorship is appropriate, while for others work-life balance is the priority.

And you’ve got options: you can work fully remotely, from a country of your choice or on a hybrid model within the UAE.
